AhlulBayt News Agency: Gaza City’s municipality has suffered a severe blow to its ability to provide essential services after the Israeli occupation army destroyed 134 of its vehicles—approximately 85 percent of the city’s fleet—amid critical shortages of fuel, lubricants, and spare parts.
In a statement on Sunday, the municipality emphasized that this systematic destruction has severely impacted core infrastructure, including water and sewage services, waste collection, road maintenance, and the operation of vital facilities such as water wells and treatment plants.
The municipality further warned that the acute shortage of vehicles and fuel has exacerbated the humanitarian and health crisis in Gaza, obstructing efforts to deliver essential services and meet basic needs.
In response, the municipality has urgently appealed to international humanitarian organizations to provide emergency assistance to alleviate the suffering of the population.
